Our Goal: To Help in a significant way so they can have a normal life.
Susan is a young mother who has been experiencing constant and intense pain, chronic fatigue, multiple-chemical-sensitivities, allergies, and irritable bowel syndrome. She is very health conscious (vegan) and does not smoke or drink alcohol and is a dedicated Christian. Susan has had great difficulty walking and did weigh just over 60 lbs., even though she is an adult. Thanks to all your help and encouragement she is improving, yet the family still faces real health and financial challenges. See the updates below for the latest news.
Susan's husband, Robert, is working two jobs just to try and keep up with the ever increasing medical bills. Susan's 15 year old daughter, Kristina, is home schooled and helps her mother as much as she can. This family continues to need your help. This website is here to tell the story of Susan's plight and hopeful recovery and it is our intent to help this precious family as much as possible. Thank you for your prayers and support. You can ENCOURAGE Susan through our online form. See the News Updates below for the latest updates on Susan's condition and current needs. Thank you.
Your special HELP is needed ($1, $5, or more) to reduce the financial burden that Susan and her family are currently under. God bless each one who takes the time to do something that will make a real difference in this young family's daily lives.
If many caring people will help a little, it will go a long way towards helping Susan, her over-burdened husband and precious daughter. Together we can help Susan and Robert pay-off some of their mounting bills and uphold them in constant prayer and send them notes of encouragement. Any amount you can help with will be a blessing. All donations will be used to help Susan get needed medical and dental help and to catch up on past financial obligations. Thank you for caring and sharing. Mihaela Williams Music has offered to collect and distribute funds directly to Susan. If you would like to help -— please click the donation button below or see mailing address below. Susan is much in need of steady, ongoing encouragement. Why not be her penpal and send her a note of cheer and encouragement. Keep this family in sincere and constant prayer that God's will can be done and they can find relief from this most difficult trial they face each day. Robert has been forced to meet with financial debt counselors due to their dire financial situation to try and get help. Susan needs health insurance, but they cannot afford to get it from his work because of their ever mounting bills. They are over $50,000 in total debt due to Susan's medical expenses, other regular bills, and everyday cost of living. All that we can do to help will be a blessing to this precious family. All they want is to survive this crisis and it never seems to end for them. Please do all you can today to help Susan. Thank you.

Talked with Robert on the phone today and he will send me detailed update info very soon. The family just moved to another apartment where Susan can better tolerate the environment. They have an ongoing need for prayer and financial help from all of us who are willing and able to help. They have over $20,000 in credit card debt with interest from medical expenses and other essential needs. They have a $400/month payment for a special trailer for Susan that is non-allergenic and safe for those with Multiple Chemical Sensitivities. More info coming soon ...

Robert wrote an email today and said, "I can say it has not been boring here! Susan has been dealing with several health isssues that have been challenging and depressing for her to deal with. A terrible rash has been very frustrating to get rid of and most uncomfortable for her to have day to day. I have been in contact with the doctor from wildwood hosp and we worked out some medicated cream for her which has brought some relief. We managed to get her to the dentist to look at the disaster in her mouth. She has a broken tooth, several cavaties, infection in her gums and the dentist has referred us to a specialist periodentist to address the more severe gum problems and infection. It can be a major contributor to her feeling so bad for so long with this ongoing infection. Of course we have no insurance so I am working an second job doing yard work to scrape up some funds. I still have a little left to pay the dentist yesterday we saw. After the periodentist work she will have to go back to the regular dentist to have the fillings taken care of and the rest of the work. It sounds to be pretty invovled and will take quite a few visits to complete. I am on the verge of finacial collapse but holding on barely..."
And He finishes with, "My job is going well and I work constantly to keep the store churning out good numbers which will hopefully help me get secure with this company and hopefully a promotion with more pay so I can dig out of my financial hole. I am so tired of financial stress! Susan's problems have kept us down for many years and just when we begin making headway something else wipes us out and I go deeper in debt Please keep in touch and I look forward to hearing from you."

Just received a letter from Kristina Rohder today from Everett, Washington. She stated that her mother, Susan, is doing much better and has her smile back. The family still needs to move to a better place because the gas heating is making Susan ill at times. The Rohders have lots of medical bills that they are struggling to catch up on and they struggle to make due after the bills are paid for each month. Many thanks to all who have helped Susan to a happier life and please continue to keep the family in prayer. Those who are able to help some each month with the accumulated medical bills are much appreciated and needed. Praise God for helping Susan get some of her life back.

Susan and Kristina have joined Robert in Washington, but the rental house they are living in is making Susan ill. They will have to look for another place to live that is more compatible for Susan. Please continue to keep this family in prayer as God's leads them to the place He wants them to be.

Robert has started his new job in Everett, WA at a store called Super Supplements. Susan and Kristina are still in La Pine, Oregon awaiting Robert to find a place to live. Robert also needs to earn the money to get a place of his own. He is staying with a couple that he met at the SDA church there in Everett. "God brought us together and provided a room for me. Susan is having a hard time being separated and I miss them greatly! Pray that I will be able to find a place we can afford that is nice for the girls. What a journey so far!", Robert says. It seems this would be a good time to send notes of encouragement to Susan while she is separated from Robert.

Just received this note from Robert: "I am taking a job offer in Everett, WA at Super Supplements a health food store chain. I will travel up next Tuesday and try to find a place to live. I don't know where I will stay yet. I hope to get someone at the church to take me in. I need to earn some funds to be able to move Susan and Kristi up as soon as we can. I don't like the idea of leaving them here (in Oregon) very long. Pray for a speedy house search and help that way. Susan is doing ok, still in pain, but her weight is great and she looks better. We go for walks daily and she stretches. Kristi is holding her own and enjoying the family time together." Praise God for all His blessings.

Detailed update coming soon! Currently Robert has three job opportunities in the Oregon/Washington area so please keep this in prayer that the Lord will lead him to the best job to help his family and that is where the Lord wants him to be. The personal family finances are depleted at present. Full update on Susan coming soon. God continues to move upon hearts to help the Rohder family with prayer, encouragement and financially. Praise to God for all His blessings each day.

Susan and her family moved to Oregon this last week and finished unpacking on Monday. Susan has made some improvements, but still has a long way to go. Robert is in the process of finding a new job and requests prayer concerning this matter. They also need prayer for finding their own place to live since they are staying with family at the present time. Susan needs further blood testing as soon as she finds a local doctor to work with and she is still experiencing pain and swelling in her legs. Her weight is improving and she is somewhat stronger. Glory to God for all He has done and will do. Thank you each one who has helped through prayer, encouragement, or financially.

Robert no longer has the job with the Health Food Store where he was working. He is doing all he can to provide for his family, but the circumstances are very difficult. Robert told us recently in an email, "Susan has been hurting more since we came back and this doesn't help the situation. Her legs swell all the time and this causes much pain and discomfort. Her wieght is maintaining which is good. She still has pain and lack of mobility in her lower back so needs help quite often. So what do you do when your deep in debt, lost your job, have a sick wife. live in a unhealthy house, depressed, frustrated, injured, ( I sliced my finger to the bone), our only vehicle needs repairs, and so on...You mentioned what are our specific needs... many!". He also said, "I want to be doing what God wants us to do as a family. Is it Oregon? maybe, I am not sure. Ask God to lead us and not to make a very costly mistake. We recieved the Wildwood Hospital bill and $1150.00 is still owed. wow! The air conditioning in the truck went out and this is essential for Susan to travel with so it has to be fixed. I have an appointment Tuesday to see what is the matter with it, appointment $60.00. First of the month bills $700.00 not including rent and utilities. You can add $800.00 to cover these. Not the prettiest picture, but God has done great things for us so far. I am tired of having to ask for funds it is not my way, but I am very thankful to all of those who have been so generous. I will just pray and trust God. This is all I can do at this point. God bless you and yours! Robert" The Rohder's are planning to move away from Southern California to a better environment in Oregon or elsewhere as soon as they can get the funds to do so and know where God would have them go. The needs are still great and much prayer is needed for God's will to be done and to provide for this precious family that is struggling just to move forward in their lives. Please keep Robert, Susan and Kristina in prayer and support them in this crisis as you are able according to how God has blessed you and your family. Thank you in Christ's name.

Susan and her family have arrived back home safely in California. Susan is seeing some improvement and was diagnosed with a serious Vitamin D deficiency. She is going to be taking a special supplement to help increase her Vitamin D. The family arrived home to an empty refridgerator so your help is still very much needed. Thank you so much to all who have and are helping. More updates soon ...

Susan and family just arrived last night in Wildwood, GA to begin a two week program at Wildwood Lifestyle Center & Hospital. IV supplementation is still a strong possibility, but the doctors want to give Susan time to adjust to the new environment. Robert, Susan and Kristina are going forward in faith trusting God to show the way. They converted their airline ticket, which would have taken them back home, to a ticket to Georgia instead. The doctors have hope that Susan can improve and regain her health. Everyday is a trial for Susan and besides her physical condition she deals with a lot of mental and emotional stress which the devil capitalizes upon to make things hard for her. Please continue to pray steadfastly for Susan and her lovely family.
A special friend that the Rohder's met at Black Hills graciously gave a large donation to cover the cost of attending the program at Wildwood. Susan, Robert and Kristina still need help getting back home when the program is over and will need help with a multitude of other costs including regular monthly bills that are growing during this time away from home. Many helping friends can make the overall burden light for the Rohders and for those willing and able to give. Thank you.

The latest round of medical tests have come back and Susan has been recommended to go to the Wildwood Lifestyle Center & Hospital in Wildwood, GA to receive IV food supplementation. Her body mass index is 11 which is well below the mal-nourished level. Susan is in serious condition and really needs your prayers and support. NOW is the time to help if you have not already. Robert, Susan and Kristina thank you from the bottom of their hearts for your prayers, encouragement and financal support in this time of extreme need and difficulty for their family.

Talked to Robert today and progress is being made though Susan is still in very serious condition. Her sodium levels are dangerously low and she is not absorbing nutrients very well. There have been a lot of tests conducted and spiritual and health counseling given. The doctors want Susan to stay for another month, but finances are a big factor in her being able to stay or not. Some friends are pledging to help, but much more help is needed. Please don't forget to encourage Susan and her family with email messages.

Susan, Robert and Kristina will fly Sunday (4/2/2006) to South Dakota where Susan and Robert will begin a 20-day health program at Black Hills Health & Education Center. Please pray for their safe trip and for Susan to endure the trip with as little pain or discomfort as possible.

God is working miracle after miracle. Praise His wonderful Name and thank you all for your prayers each day. Susan and Robert have been graciously sponsored by 3ABN Christian TV/Radio to go to Black Hills Health & Education Center for 20 days of treatment. Kristina will be there also to help. Susan is in desperate need and Robert has reached burnout working 18+ hours/day, 6 days/week for the past year trying in vain to keep up with the bills—in addition to helping Susan in his off time. The entire family has reached burnout and this will be a much welcomed break in the regular, unrelenting, day to day grind. Special thanks to all who are making this possible for these three precious souls. Praise God for His blessing.
